WRC FIA World Rally Championship

After years of existence, the WRC license is it still impressive? It's less beautiful than DIRT but in the end, what can we think?

First impressions are not encouraging. Even before being confronted with different game options proposed - The Road to the WRC, WRC Academy, soloing (with single step, single Rally, Championship, Race wow gold timed), Hot Seat (Step Single, Single Rally, Championship for Up to four players) or Xbox Live - Welcome screen shows unequivocally that the presentation will be purely functional. In reality, it really is not even functional as navigation in some menus is awkward to be annoying.

This purely functional aspect is reflected in the visuals in the WRC since 2010 is not nearly as pretty as DiRT 2. The 13 international locations properly represent their counterparts in real life, but in terms of current standards, all the visual elements of the game - be it the roadside scenery, the details of the circuit surface or modeling cars - can not be regarded as just as fair.

there is not that WRC cars - all categories are available adapted.

Even if the engines of various vehicles - you'll find all types of cars from the 2010 season, including J-WRC, P-WRC, WRC and WRC-S (strangely, monsters historic Group B are available through a paid DLC) - emit different sounds, we really need a highly trained ear to differentiate them.

The lack of sophistication is also evident in the external sound effects library, which, even if they are adapted (with the exception of some like the ridiculous screeching tires) are light years ahead of its beautiful surround which enhanced Colin McRae Rally 3.
